  • Boston

The Boston Avid User Group was founded in 2004 and is one of the most consistent user groups.  BAVUG hold regular meetings every month except for April, July and December.  They are self funding, well organized and work hard to attract interesting speakers from within their community.  They also created their own website which features information about them and their meetings, tips and tricks, links to helpful websites and a list of freelance editors and their certifications.

  • Toronto

The Toronto Avid User Group is a beaming star in the North.  This is the oldest group founded in 1995 when Avid first opened their office in Toronto.  ATUG has been consistent with meetings and growing their membership.  They have over 600 members in their group.  Truly an inspiration to other groups.

  • Washington, DC

The Washington DC group founded in November 2005 has been steadily gaining momentum.  The group attracts a diverse group of members from the military, government agencies, broadcast stations, post houses, advertising agencies, America’s Most Wanted, National Geographic Channel, aarp, and many educational institutions to name a few.    This group is an up and comer.
