This release includes additional codec support, enhancements, issue resolutions, and quality improvements, over version 1.8.

All users of Avid Symphony Nitris version 1.7 or higher automatically qualify for the version 1.8.4 software. Avid Symphony Nitris 1.8.4 does not require a dongle update if you are running 1.7 or higher. This update, available via download, includes the version 1.8.4 application, README files and installation instructions. in the corresponding goodies.zip file. The goodies download includes plug-ins for use in Avid Symphony Nitris plus demos of third-party software that will allow you to get more out of your editing system.

Avid Interplay customers should not upgrade to this new release. There is an outstanding issue involving database permissions that may cause problems. Avid Interplay customers are advised to wait for a subsequent release that will address this issue.
Avid Unity Support
Avid Symphony Nitris 1.8.4 has support for Avid Unity ISIS 1.4. Avid Symphony Nitris 1.8.4 is also supported in Avid Unity MediaNetwork v4.1.5, v4.2.1, v4.2.3 and 5.0, and Avid Unity ISIS v1.2 v1.3 and v1.3a environments.
